About seven months ago, a band by the name of Under City Skylines was born. Formed by members Ricky (Vocals), Brandon (Bass, Vocals), and Zack (Guitar, Vocals) they took their love for music and began pursuing it as a passion. Their motive is simple, passion and emotion must be alive in all of their songs and should be demonstrated in every live performance. With vocals, guitar, and bass all there it was time to set out and find a drummer and a lead guitarist to join in the brotherhood that UCS had created. Mike (Drums) came along and immediately clicked, adding another piece to the unique puzzle that is Under City Skylines. Needing one more person to fill the void at lead guitar, they rested that responsibility upon Dennis after several tryouts. UCS's lineup was now complete. Uncle Bob's storage facility was where the next few months of hard practicing would take place. The boys of UCS like to keep stress at a minimum while at practice, leading to a huge poster of Bruno hanging on their wall. All the boys grew up listening to influences such as Blink-182, Saosin, New Found Glory, A Day to Remember, and Haste the Day among many, many more. UCS wanted their style of music to consist of crushing breakdowns with deep lyrics that every person can relate to, with melodic harmonies bringing the music to life. The boys write all of their music together as a group effort. "Everyone is on equal ground", says frontman Ricky, " Everyone's voice is heard in every matter". With the recent loss of their brother and long time friend Brandon(Bass) the boys know how hard it is to keep a band alive. However, they have not let their loss slow them down as Brandon urged them to push forward, the boys begin trying out bassists that could fill the shoes that he filled. An official decision has not been made thus far but UCS will keep their fans posted for when a bassist is finalized. With a close group of brothers ready for the road ahead and its challenges UCS is setting out to do what very few people can say they do in their life, and that is doing something that they truly love. Hopefully with the amount of blood, sweat, and tears they put in, their dream of getting signed one day will come true while still knowing the value of their friendships each of them possess with each other and at the same time setting out to have fun. 2010 is looking bright for the boys as they have played big shows with national acts such as Asking Alexandria, We Came As Romans, From First to Last, Our Last Night, A Bullet For A Pretty Boy, American Me, For The Fallen Dreams, Close Your Eyes, This Or The Apocalypse Gwen Stacy, It Prevails!, Four Letter Lie, LoveHateHero, Of Machines, War of Ages, Acirema, Shai Hulud, and several others in the works as well as shows at the nationally known venue, the NORVA. They are also in the running for the BATTLE OF THE BANDS to play Warped Tour in Va. Beach this year! Keep an ear out for a "Like Autumn Leaves" rerelease set to hit some time in early fall with new recordings soon as the boys to continue to push the top with everything they have. Everyone's support is needed to push UCS in the right direction and with your help they can become better and bigger. GOD BLESS!
